Odoo Website Employee Organization Chart | Public Directory, Team Hierarchy & Profiles

Website Employee Hierarchy Management for Odoo | Interactive Organization Directory & Team Structure Visualization

Description:

This module allows you to display the Employee Organization Chart on a dedicated website page. Built with a modern, responsive, and UI-friendly design, it transforms your internal HR structure into an accessible directory. You can create custom menu items and link them to the organization chart page using its unique URL. This provides a clear and structured view of your company's employee hierarchy directly on the website.

Purpose of the Module:

The primary purpose of this module is to allow customers and guest visitors to view the company's internal Employee Organization Chart and hierarchy directly on the website portal. It facilitates quick searching for specific employees by name or identification code and offers detailed profile views while ensuring a clean and consistent organizational layout.

Main Features:

  • Modern Public Hierarchy Display:
  • Allows customers and guest visitors to view the Employee Organization Chart directly on the website.
  • The chart utilizes a compact, multi-nested design that scales cleanly on modern screens, featuring fully clickable employee cards that route directly to detailed profiles.
  • Intuitive Search Capabilities:
  • Users can search for employees by name or employee code to view detailed information and organizational hierarchy.
  • In cases where multiple employees share the same name, users can search using the unique identification code.
  • If the entered employee name or code is not found, the system displays a warning message.
  • Backend & Node Configuration:
  • Backend configuration allows you to set a short name and a short job position name for each employee, which will be shown in the chart.
  • Parent Hierarchy Logic: If an employee does not have a manager assigned, they will be considered as a top-level (parent) node in the chart. If multiple such employees exist, the system will automatically select the first one as the top parent.
  • Employee profile images must be set to 128px height and 128px width in the backend to ensure proper display within the organization chart on the website, maintaining a consistent and well-aligned layout.
  • Native Mega Menu Integration:
  • Includes seamless integration with Odoo's native website Mega Menu system, allowing for a structured "Employee Directory" dropdown navigation experience.

Scope of the Module:

This module connects backend employee administration with a frontend public organizational hierarchy view. It enables HR and backend managers to configure short display names, specific job titles, and manager-employee parent relationships, which are then rendered into an interactive search-enabled chart on the website.

Business Benefits:

  • Enhanced Transparency:
    • Provides guest visitors and customers with immediate, clear visibility into company organizational hierarchy.
  • Efficient Search:
    • Allows users to instantly locate employees via name or unique ID code, preventing confusion when team members share identical names.
  • Consistent Visual Layout:
    • Standardized image dimensions and automated parent-node selection ensure a clean, professional, and well-aligned display on your website.
