With a single click, users can view all expense records linked to a project, while an embedded summary panel provides a quick financial snapshot. It also supports report creation with built-in validation to ensure expenses belong to the same project, helping teams stay organized and make faster informed decisions all without leaving the project screen.

Main Features of the Project Dashboard with Expense Integration

• Project Linked Expense Tracking:
• The Project field has been added to both the Expense and Expense Sheet form views, allowing each expense to be directly associated with a specific project.
• Smart Buttons for Quick Access:
• New smart buttons for Expenses and Expense Sheets are available on the Project dashboard. Instantly see how many records are linked to the project click to open filtered views.
• Integrated Summary Panel:
• A bottom right panel on the Project dashboard displays a real-time summary of related expenses and expense sheets.
• Seamless Navigation:
• Clicking the Expenses or Expense Sheets buttons takes users to a list view showing only those records linked to the selected project.
• Standard Report Generation with Validation:
• Use the Odoo Create Report feature to generate expense reports.
• A validation rule ensures accuracy: if selected expenses belong to different projects, will block report creation with a clear message.
