This module extends the core accounting report functionality by introducing a structured note management system. It adds two interactive buttons Add Note and View Notes to relevant financial reports, enabling users to attach and retrieve contextual information directly within the reporting interface. Notes are managed through a user friendly popup wizard that supports streamlined input and retrieval, ensuring that report-specific annotations are easily accessible. This feature facilitates enhanced internal documentation, improves cross-team collaboration, and supports audit readiness by allowing users to maintain clear, report linked commentary without modifying the core financial data.


Main Features:

  • Integrated Note Creation on Accounting Reports:
  • Adds an intuitive Add Note button to all accounting reports, allowing users to document key observations, clarifications, or contextual comments directly within the report view.
  • Centralized Access to Report-Specific Notes:
  • Introduces a View Notes button that opens a wizard displaying all notes associated with the currently viewed report, enabling quick reference and retrieval.
  • Interactive Note Creation Wizard:
  • Provides a user friendly popup wizard for entering and saving notes, ensuring efficient and structured documentation of report-specific insights.
  • Detailed Note Viewing Interface:
  • Supports in depth review by allowing users to click on any note entry in the list to open a detailed popup view containing the full note content and metadata.

  • Ensures each note is contextually tied to the specific accounting report from which it was created, maintaining logical traceability and organizational clarity.

Workflow:

  • Go to Accounting and open any Accounting Report (like Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, etc.).
  • You will see two new buttons: Add Note and View Notes.
  • Click the Add Note button:
    • A wizard popup will appear.
    • Write your note and save it.
  • Click the View Notes button:
    • A wizard popup will show a list of all notes linked to that report.
    • You can scroll and see all related notes.
    • If you want to see full details of a note, click on that note from the list.
    • The detailed view of the selected note will open in a new popup.
  • Repeat as needed for multiple reports and notes.
