Partner Email Dispatch for Reports

This module extends Odoo core accounting reporting functionality by introducing a streamlined email dispatch feature. It adds a Mail (@) button to all standard financial reports, enabling users to send report files directly as attachments to selected contacts. The process is managed through an intuitive popup wizard that supports partner selection and file format preferences (PDF, XLSX, or PDF & XLSX). This facilitates seamless and professional communication of accounting reports without the need for manual downloads or composing emails. It is especially useful for businesses that regularly share financial reports with clients, internal teams, or external stakeholders in a structured and efficient manner.


Main Features:

  • Integrated Mail (@) Button on All Reports::
  • Adds a convenient @ button to every accounting report (e.g., Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, General Ledger), making report sharing easy and accessible.
  • Contacts Selection via Wizard:
  • Opens a wizard where users can select one or more contacts (customers, vendors, stakeholders) as recipients of the report.
  • Multiple Export Formats Supported:
  • Allows users to choose the desired output format PDF, XLSX, or PDF & XLSX ensuring compatibility with varied reporting requirements.
  • Automated Email with Attachments:
  • Generates the selected report automatically in the background and sends it as an email attachment to all chosen contacts.

  • Uses a consistent, professional email body suitable for all accounting reports, simplifying communication and reducing the chance of manual errors.

Workflow:

  • Go to Accounting and open any Accounting Report (like Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, etc.).
  • You will see a new button: Mail (@).
  • Click the Mail (@) button:
    • A wizard popup will appear.
    • Select one or more contacts from the list.
    • Choose the desired report format: PDF, XLSX, or PDF & XLSX.
  • Click Send Button:
    • The report is automatically generated.
    • An email is sent to each selected contact with the report attached.
  • Repeat the process for any report you wish to share with other recipients.
